Q&A: What is this sword type called?
Question by ioannidis007: What is this sword type called?
I bought this sword: http://www.kingofswords.com/Swords/Oriental-Swords/Hand-Forged-Naginata-Warrior-Sword-54.html
online, but it is different from what I have ever seen. The blade is broad, like a naginata blade, and the hilt has the same size as the blade, like a nagamaki sword. What kind of sword is it? It is also very heavy (about 12kg) and about 54″ long.
